Based in Kyiv and offered in Spring or Fall, this program takes you to Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia to discuss with local experts the conflicts, histories, and identities in these states. For anyone interested in diplomacy, policy, or conflict studies, this program provides invaluable experience.
Russian as a Second Language
Offered year-round, this program gives you intensive language training with classroom instruction, peer tutors, and a home stay as well as an extensive cultural program. You can optionally choose to replace all or some of your Russian training with Ukrainian.
Geopolitics of
Ukraine
Offered in Summer, this program is based in Kyiv, and travels to Lviv, Odessa, Dnipro, and Kharkiv. You will meet with locals, and come to understand the regional (including borderland) identities, the rise of civil society, youth movements, and foreign policy issues.
