A Language Pathway into Polish Society and Everyday Life

Polish is the primary language of one of Central Europe’s most dynamic and historically significant countries. Studying Polish provides direct access to the society, culture, and institutions that shape life in Poland today.

In this program, you will study Polish in an intensive, small-group setting designed to build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Instruction is paired with guided conversation practice and cultural engagement, allowing you to move beyond the classroom and begin using the language in meaningful and structured contexts.

Based in Warsaw, Poland’s capital and largest city, the program places you in the center of Polish public life. Here, you will encounter the language not only in instruction, but in daily interactions, public spaces, and cultural institutions.

In Warsaw, Polish is the dominant language of public life, used across government, education, business, and everyday interaction. While English is widely spoken—particularly among younger generations and in professional settings—Polish remains essential for deeper engagement with society and culture.

Program Details

LANG 101/102/290/390/490 Polish Language

You will develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through intensive, small-group instruction. Coursework emphasizes practical communication, supported by conversation practice and engagement with Polish-language cultural materials.

Summer I 4-week session and the 8-week session open to all levels. Summer II 4-week session – 2nd semester Polish and higher only. 4 credits per 4-week session.

Partner School

SŁOWIANKA Language School in the very center of Warsaw. They are focused exclusively on Slavic language – primarily Russian, Belarussian, Ukrainian, and Polish. 

Transcripts and Credit Transfer

This program is hosted by SŁOWIANKA Language School. The School of Record for this program is Stetson University (Florida, USA). Credit transfer to your home institution is usually possible. Additionally, a US School of Record means that your program is supported by and documented by an accredited US university. The School of Record will issue an American transcript, making credit transfer relatively routine.

Housing is not included in the base program cost. Most students choose to add SRAS-arranged hotel accommodation for convenience and proximity to classes.

Hotel Accommodation (SRAS-arranged)

Students stay in centrally located hotels within easy access of classrooms and public transportation. Both shared (twin or triple) and single rooms are available.

Pricing (2026):

Twin/Triple room (per person): $1470 (single session) / $2,880 (two sessions

Single room: $2,480 (single session) / $4,900 (two sessions)

Breakfast is included.

Independent Housing Option

Students may also arrange their own housing, including AirBnB or other short-term rentals. SRAS can assist in connecting students who wish to share accommodations.

Scholarships and Grants:

Federal aid can help pay for your program if your university pre-approves credit transfer and agrees to manage payment. Check with SRAS and your university for details.

  1. Complete our application (press the “Apply Now” button to create your SRAS account — you will be able to return to the application later).
  2. Alert your home university (if you are currently a student).
    Some universities have deadlines for study abroad that are much earlier than SRAS deadlines -— so involve your home university’s study abroad office in the process as early as possible! They can help ensure that all goes smoothly with credit transfer and financial aid, and perhaps point you to additional funding sources.
