Remote research and archival support for scholars and independent researchers
SRAS provides remote research and archival support for scholars, academics, and others conducting specialized research in the regions where we work. Drawing on experienced researchers and established institutional knowledge, we can assist with projects that require local access, language skills, or familiarity with archival and library systems.
We can conduct targeted research in archival and library collections, search electronic catalogs, submit thematic queries, identify relevant materials, and request scans or photographs of documents and files.
We can assist with preparing and submitting formal requests to archives, libraries, institutions, and government bodies, including correspondence that requires local language or familiarity with institutional procedures.
We can also assist with genealogical and family-history research, including identifying relevant archival collections, locating records, and pursuing documentary leads where sufficient information is available to begin a search.
