Two Options for Your Virtual Hermitage Tour
We will take two routes, back-to-back, with a short break to allow for “re-entrance” into the museum.
9:15am – 10:15am EST – Route 1 around the Main Museum Complex
This route primarily features the state rooms of the Winter Palace and the displays in the Old and New Hermitages. On this route we can concentrate on viewing Western European fine art and the Hermitage picture gallery, and see the museum’s Classical Antiquities.
10:30am – 12:00pm EST – Route 2 around the Main Museum Complex
This route will primarily give us access to the halls of the Winter Palace: palatial interiors and living apartments of the imperial family, the permanent displays of Russian culture and of the countries of the East, as well as British and French art. On the second part of the route, we will also be able to view some of the Winter Palace state rooms (beginning with the Armorial Hall), the Picture Gallery and the art of the Ancient World.
