Warsaw Virtual Site Visit - Itinerary
Welcome! Whether you are a student, advisor, or educator, we hope that this virtual site visit will provide you with the opportunity to get to know more about SRAS, our partnership with Civitas University, and the many opportunities for educational programming in Warsaw.
On February 11, we will start at 10:45am EST with a short lecture (approximately 20 minutes with time for discussion), a chance to get an idea of what it is like to study with our team in Warsaw.
“Change is the only constant in International Relations: What shapes the future of Europe?”
Dr. Paulina Piasecka, an expert in the area of international terrorism and cybersecurity, will talk about current events in Central and Eastern Europe. You will look at the changes in the heart of Europe. Together, you will attempt to ask – and maybe answer – the most pressing questions about who’s doing what in this region and the goals of the most influential actors.
We will then transition to a presentation of “Study Abroad in Poland” for another 30 minutes, followed by Q&A.

"Just yesterday my student successfully defended her honors thesis on environmentalism around Lake Baikal, a project that would not have been possible without the fieldwork that she conducted on her SRAS study abroad program in Irkutsk. I hope to see more such projects in the future and will keep directing students to SRAS programs!"
- Julia Chadaga, Macalester College
"At Stetson, we've used SRAS to arrange all of our student study abroad trips for the past five or six years. During that time we've sent dozens of students on summer- and semester-long programs in Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Irkutsk. In every interaction I've had with them, SRAS has been prompt, reliable, knowledgable, courteous and quick to lend a hand when needed."
- Dr. Michael A. Denner, Stetson University
