General requirements: Undergraduate student in English, literature, journalism, other related subjects. Experience in editing, proof-reading, freelance journalism or web publishing experience a plus. Must be native English speaker.

The experience: Interns work at one of several English or Russian-language newspapers. Duties can include reporting on a variety of topics ranging from lifestyle to ecology to business depending on his or her preferences, to editing or layout/graphics and translation. The translators on staff can help conduct interviews. Interns may also be involved with on-line editions.

Locations: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Sakhalin, Bishkek
